This medicine is used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), portal hypertension, tremors, angina pectoris (chest pain), atrial fibrillation, hypertrophic subaortic stenosis, pheochromocytoma, performance anxiety, PTSD and phobias, proliferating infantile hemangioma, capillary hemangiomas, glaucoma, thyrotoxicosis, asymmetric septal hypertrophy, essential tremors, tachyarrhythmia, tachycardia, heart rhythm disorders, coronary heart disease, and other heart or circulatory conditions. Propranolol Hydrochloride is also indicated to treat or prevent heart attack, myocardial infarction, esophageal variceal bleeding and ascites, to reduce the frequency and severity of migraine headaches, cluster headaches, and for other medical purposes. It works by affecting the heart and circulation (blood flow through arteries and veins).
