  • Metaxalone (trade names include Skelaxin, Flexura, Metaxalone Sandoz) is a muscle relaxant with a low chance of drowsiness or side effects. This medication is indicated to relieve pain caused by strains, sprains; as an adjunct to rest, physical therapy, and other measures for the relief of discomforts associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions. It works by blocking nerve impulses (or pain sensations) in the brain. Metalaxone is known as moderately strong muscle relaxant with low side effects.
