It is in research studies for the treatment and prevention of acne, adult acne, orthostatic hypotension, Parkinson's disease. Ibuprofen works as an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic agent by decreasing the activity of prostaglandin enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX).
