This medicine in both dosages 3 mg / 0.02 mg and 3 mg / 0.03 mg of drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol per pill is used for the prevention of pregnancy in women who elect to use an oral contraceptive.
The dosage of drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol 3 mg / 0.02 mg per tablets is also indicated for the therapy of premenstrual syndrome, dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation), symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) in women who choose to use an oral contraceptive as their method of contraception; for the treatment of moderate acne vulgaris in women at least 14 years of age, who have no known contraindications to oral contraceptive therapy and have achieved menarche.
