Amiloride with Furosemide (trade names include Frumil, Amifru, Co-Amilofruse, Diurisa, Errolon A, Frumil LS, Lasoride) is a combined diuretic medication from sulfonamides and potassium-sparing agents pharmacological groups. This medicine helps you make more urine and to lose excess water from your body. It is used to treat fluid retention where potassium conservation is desirable: fluid retention (edema, oedema, swelling) in the legs (peripheral edema) or on the lungs (pulmonary oedema), high blood pressure, ascites due to cirrhosis of the liver, congestive heart failure, nephrosis, corticosteroid therapy, oestrogen therapy, edematous syndrome of various origin, for ascites associated with cirrhosis, and for other medical conditions.
