  • Celecoxib (trade names include Celebrex, Aclexa, Agilecox, Apo-Celecoxib, Celcox, Celcoxx, Celebra, Celedol, Celexi, Cobix, Colcibra, Coxid, Elyxyb, ) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) from coxibs pharmacological group. This medication is used to treat and relieve pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, headache, migraine, chronic pain, acute pain in adults, ankylosing spondylitis, spondyloarthritis, musculoskeletal pain, postoperative pain, period pain, dysmenorrhea, painful menstruation, fibromatosis; to decrease the risk of colorectal adenomas in people with familial adenomatous polyposis. It works as selective reversible inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2).
