It is indicated to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization for heart failure in adults, the risk of heart attacks and stroke; for the treatment of symptomatic chronic heart failure; for the treatment of chronic kidney disease in adults; to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease; as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in people aged ten years of age and older with type 2 diabetes.
