  • Glibenclamide (INN), also known as Glyburide (USAN) - trade names include Micronase, Apo-Glyburide, Clamide, Daonil, DiaBeta, Euglucon, Glibetic, Glitisol, Glybovin, Maninil - is an oral antidiabetic drug from sulfonylureas pharmacological group. This medicine is used for treating diabetes type 2 and to control blood sugar levels. It works by helping your body to use insulin better. Glyburide may be prescribed alone or with other antidiabetic medicines. The treatment should be combined with diet and exercises.
