It is used to help the skin renew itself, for the treatment of acne vulgaris, to treat and reduce the appearance of stretch marks, pigmentation, wrinkles. This medication reduces the formation of pimples and promotes quick healing of pimples that develop, especially in the cases of blackheads, pimples and papules. Tretinoin has been researched as a treatment for hair loss too. It works also by increasing production of natural collagen in the skin dermis as an anti-age medication, and decreasing the ability of epithelial cells in hair follicles as an anti-acne product. Retin-A, Renova and their generics are the number 1 most prescribed treatment for acne.
