  • Danazol (trade names include Danocrine, Danatrol, Danogen, Danoval, Gonablok, Ladogal) is a modulator of the genital system and anti allergic medication from antigonadotropins and similar agents pharmacological group. This medicine is indicated for the treatment of endometriosis, fibrocystic breast disease (cysts in the breasts), gynecomastia, breast pain, menorrhagia, premenstrual syndrome, immune thrombocytopenic purpura, systemic lupus erythematosus, Evans syndrome. It may also be used in men and women to prevent serious allergic reactions known as hereditary angioedema (swelling of the different parts of the body, such as abdomen or stomach, arms, legs, throat, skin, or sexual organs), and for other medical purposes. Danazol has multiple mechanisms of action.
