Fexofenadine (trade names include Allegra, Telfast, Allegra 12, Telfast BD, Allegra 24, Fexidine, Allegra Allergy, Allegratab, Altiva, Children's Allegra Allergy, Fexgen, Fexo, Fexofenaderm, Fexofenadine Mylan, Fexova, Fexy, Histafree, Nefoxef, Telfast HD, Telfexo, Xergic) is an anti-allergic medicine from antihistamines for systemic use pharmacological group. This medication is used for the treatment and prevention symptoms of allergies, such as relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever, nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, itchy throat, itchy, red or watery eyes); the therapy of uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria, physical urticaria; to reduce itchy skin rash and hives in adults and children. One dose of long-lasting Allegra or Telfast provides powerful relief from seasonal allergy symptoms for a full 24 hours. That's four times longer than one dose of most OTC allergy medications. As third-generation antihistamine Fexofenadine HCl doesn't make you drowsy. It works by preventing the activation of H1-histamine receptors and occurring symptoms associated with allergies.
