This medicine is indicated to treat skin, fingernails and toenails onychomycosis (tinea unguium), infections caused by certain types of fungus, including cutaneous candidiasis, pityriasis versicolor, fungal nail infections, jock itch (tinea cruris), athlete's foot (tinea pedis), ringworm of the scalp (tinea capitis), and other types of ringworm (tinea corporis). It works by killing sensitive fungi. Terbinafine HCl (Lamisil) is one of the most prescribed treatment for fungus infection worldwide.
