This medicine is used to treat broad spectrum bacterial, protozoal, parasitic infections in various parts of the body caused by certain bacteria (such as Chlamydia trachomatis, Chlamydophila pneumoniae, Clostridium difficile, Haemophilus ducreyi, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes).
