  • Irbesartan with Hydrochlorothiazide (trade names include Avalide, Aprozide, Avapro HCT, Co-Aprovel, Co-Irabel, CoAprovel, Irbesartan HCTZ, Irovel H, Karvezide, Sandoz Irbesartan HCT) is a combined medication containing antihypertensive drug Irbesartan (from angiotensin II antagonists) and diuretic Hydrochlorothiazide (from thiazides pharmacological group). This medicine is used for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). It helps to prevent strokes, heart attacks, kidney problems. Irbesartan works by relaxing the blood vessels. Hydrochlorothiazide helps the kidneys to remove fluid from the body.
