  • Enalapril (trade names include Vasotec, Benalapril, Berlipril, Dilvas, Ednyt, Enabeta, Enahexal, Enam, Enap, Enarenal, Envas, Hypace, Naprilene, Renapril, Renitec) is a medication for cardiovascular system from angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors pharmacological group. This medicine is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension, HBP), hypertensive emergency, diabetic kidney disease, chronic kidney failure, polycystic kidney disease, heart failure, coronary heart disease, left ventricular dysfunction, alport syndrome, psychogenic polydipsia. Also it is used in veterinary to treat dogs, cats, other pets and animals. Enalapril slows the progression of heart failure and reduces its symptoms such as shortness of breath and swelling of the feet and ankles. This medication may be used alone or in combinations with other antihypertensive drugs and cardiac medicines. Enalapril works by helping to relax blood vessels and to lower blood pressure.
